The Gardiner Bruins had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Lone Peak 82-50 on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gardiner in their matchups with Lone Peak: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Gardiner lost, one person who can't be blamed is Parker Wyman. Despite the final result, he shot 4-for-4 from deep and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Herrera, who scored 11 points.
Gardiner's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Lone Peak, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Gardiner will face off against Twin Bridges at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Lone Peak will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
