While Bishop Snyder put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Sandalwood. The Bishop Snyder Cardinals came out on top against the Sandalwood Saints by a score of 3-0. The three-run effort marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Cole Dennis's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tripp Hannah was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Bishop Snyder's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Sandalwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Bishop Snyder and Sandalwood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Bishop Snyder will challenge Ponte Vedra at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday up 114 places (14 vs. 128). The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Bishop Snyder: 3.2, Sandalwood: 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Similarly, Sandalwood (ranked 176th) will meet Hilliard (ranked 509th) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Snyder is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
