The Fort Morgan Mustangs lost against the Thompson Valley Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fort Morgan was dealt a 69-29 loss at the hands of the Eagles. Fort Morgan has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Ava Taylor and Shaelynn Ramirez certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Taylor scored six points along with nine blocks and six rebounds, while Ramirez scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 11 times she's played.
Fort Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Thompson Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Fort Morgan will play host again and welcome the Golden Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Frederick is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Thompson Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Silver Knights at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Severance is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
