Youngker is 5-0 against Glendale since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Youngker Roughriders will be playing at home against the Glendale Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Thursday, Youngker was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to Buckeye. It was the first time this season that Youngker let down their fans at home.
Ares Chambers put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Hayden Williams, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Glendale ended up a good deal behind Kofa on Thursday and lost 69-50. Glendale has struggled against Kofa recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Youngker's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-6. As for Glendale, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Everything went Youngker's way against Glendale in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as Youngker made off with a 79-58 win. Will Youngker repeat their success, or does Glendale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
