Edgewood won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of  3-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Cougars.
 Edgewood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-13, 25-15,  25-17.
 Railynn Bowman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 19 kills. Bowman got some help from  Ella Crist and her 30 assists. Bowman was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Franklin, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 3-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will head out to  take on Oak Hills  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will venture away from home to  square off against Talawanda  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
