Portage Central added to the longest winning streak in Southwestern Michigan - West this week by beating Everett, 38-6. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Mustangs.
Portage Central took down the Vikings 38-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Joseph's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Jack Turak chipped in 391 yards.
Turak was a passing and rushing force as the Bears defeated Sturgis.
Turak was a beast in the backfield as St. Joseph topped the Trojans.
Turak was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 391 yards on 43 carries as Gandalf Church's team defeated Sturgis.
Niles's Darek Bullock-Mills and Ra'Quon Glenn have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bullock-Mills has thrown for 1,027 yards this season, while Glenn has 54 catches for 830 yards. The Bears' Turak leads the league in rushing yards with 1,335.
An important game coming up in Southwestern Michigan - West this week will be when Lakeshore takes on St. Joseph. As it stands, the Lancers are in fourth, while the Bears are in second.
Brett Foerster's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 38 points on Everett.
