On Monday, Pine Plains made easy work of Webutuck and carried off a 14-2 victory. Considering the Bombers have won five games by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Rhinebeck sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Dover on Monday. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by just one run.
Like Pine Plains, Rhinebeck also got a great game from a two-way player: James Jacox. Jacox was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, John Haight was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Rhinebeck: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Sawyer Giles was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Rhinebeck now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pine Plains, their record is now 7-0.
Rhinebeck's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pine Plains hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .422. It's a different story for Rhinebeck, though, as they've only averaged .237. Will they be able to contain Pine Plains' hitters?
Pine Plains got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Rhinebeck by a conclusive 25-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
