Meanwhile, Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by St. Monica on the road and fell 73-31.
Despite their defeat, Valley View saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kenneth Hutchinson, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Elijah McDaniel was another key player, earning five points in addition to two steals.
