It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Swink Lions ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They secured a 39-33 W over Rocky Ford. For Swink, this counts as revenge for the 21-19 loss Rocky Ford walked away with the last time they faced one another on Tuesday.
Swink's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Heberlie, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelynn James, who scored 9 points.
The win got Swink back to even at 1-1. As for Rocky Ford, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
