Monacan hit Powhatan with a six-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians and the Chiefs finished up their contest with an 8-8 draw.

With that draw, Powhatan's record moves to 1-1-1. As for Monacan, they moved theirs to 1-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Powhatan won't get a chance for a more definitive result for a while: they'll take on Mechanicsville at 6:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Monacan, they will venture away from home to square off against Glen Allen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
