Notre Dame is a perfect 10-0 against Castilleja since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Regents will venture away from home to square off against the Gators at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Notre Dame's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
Notre Dame's tournament run continued when they took on Pioneer on Monday. The Regents blew past the Mustangs 15-2. The Regents have beaten the Mustangs the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.
Molly Rogove looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kamille Beals was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaz Mina, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Notre Dame always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Castilleja fell victim to Terra Nova and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 10-0. The Gators haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Notre Dame now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Castilleja, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Castilleja's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notre Dame has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .503. It's a different story for Castilleja, though, as they've only averaged .344. Will they be able to contain Notre Dame's hitters?
Everything went Notre Dame's way against Castilleja in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Notre Dame made off with a 14-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Regents since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
