Mitchell Labrado Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Laguna Creek had to settle for second even though Mitchell Labrado put up the best numbers he has all season. Labrado threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. His passing game has become a key predictor of Laguna Creek's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.

Cole Davis posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
This season, Davis has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 231.4 passing yards per game.

Hale Made His Presence Known in Elk Grove's 38-31 Victory
Elk Grove picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to David Hale. Hale did his part (and then some), rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
Hale might have his next game, a home matchup with Sheldon, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hale saw the Huskies), he rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 50 yards and a touchdown.
