The Largo Packers will head out on the road to face off against the Northside Christian Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Largo is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
On Tuesday, Largo made easy work of Tarpon Springs and carried off an 18-3 win. Considering the Packers have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Paige Sofge and Laila Weber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Sofge pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Weber pitched two innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Sofge went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Weber got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Weber has posted since back in March.

Shorecrest Prep hit Northside Christian with a five-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs came up short against the Chargers, falling 12-1. The Mustangs have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Largo pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Northside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
