Two dominant guards in Immanuel Kelly and Derrick Muse are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Sumner Stingrays will head out on the road to face off against the Bell Creek Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sumner will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Sumner beat Durant 56-45. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Stingrays' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Cougars are ranked 533rd).

Sumner can attribute much of their success to Karson Coleman, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Miles Moore, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 boards. Moore has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Bennard Anson was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight assists and four steals.
Sumner smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durant only pulled down six offensive rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bell Creek Academy ended up a good deal behind Charlotte on Monday and lost 68-54.
Sumner will need to focus on slowing down Elijah Gilroy, one of several Bell Creek Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points along with five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lesly Stclou, who earned four points.
Bell Creek Academy dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sumner, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sumner has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Bell Creek Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.3 boards.
