The Shaw Warriors's and the Leflore County Tigers's contest on Tuesday was close at halftime, but the Shaw Warriors turned on the heat in the second half with 30 points. Everything went Shaw's way against Leflore County as Shaw made off with a 57-37 win. The win was familiar territory for Shaw who now have three in a row.
Leflore County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Antionette Holston, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks, and Makiyzah Sims who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Sims also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Shaw has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Leflore County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Shaw and West Tallahatchie will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Leflore County, they will head out on the road to face off against Simmons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
