The Royse City Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 38-17 defeat at the hands of Horn. Royse City lost against Horn in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-10 score last time.
Jace Oliver threw for 110 yards on seven of 14 attempts. Aidan Walker was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards. On the ground, Tyreke Cockroft rushed for 76 yards.
Horn was led to victory by Legend Bey and Levon Morton. Bey rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown, while Morton rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Rodney Franklin was another key contributor, rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Royse City has yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 3-7 record. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Rockwall and 7-3 Bowie (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60% over those games). As for Horn, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.
Royse City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Horn also has no future games currently scheduled.
