The Robinson Rams will take on the West Potomac Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Robinson's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Alexandria City with a sharp 7-0 win. Considering the Rams have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Robinson let Aleaha Burgy and Marina Palazzo run wild. Burgy went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Palazzo went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Burgy has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Giuliana Costa, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Robinson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.8.
Meanwhile, West Potomac waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-13 victory over the Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolverines have posted since April 22, 2025.
Mari Shimakawa-Urena made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Shimakawa-Urena was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Sabrina Driggers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Mackenzie Garr was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
West Potomac's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Robinson, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Robinson hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like West Potomac struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Robinson's way against West Potomac when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Robinson made off with a 15-2 victory. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
