The St. Francis Sharks can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged North Monterey County out 58-56. The win was just what St. Francis needed coming off of a 67-47 loss in their prior matchup.
Sam Braun continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joseph Rose, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
St. Francis' victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. As for North Monterey County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis will square off against Watsonville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Monterey County, they will head out on the road to square off against Seaside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Seaside is on a three-game streak of home losses, North Monterey County an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
