The Atkins Camels lost against the West Forsyth Titans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Atkins falling 49-33. They have struggled against West Forsyth recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
West Forsyth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Staples, who scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Staples has scored at least 25% of West Forsyth's points. Hallie Kramer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Atkins now has a losing record at 2-3. As for West Forsyth, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Atkins will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (North Forsyth is ranked 336th, while Atkins is ranked 330th). West Forsyth will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Western Guilford at 6:15 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Western Guilford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
