Jefferson Township had a senior duo take command as Cassidy Ball scored seven points along with seven steals and six assists and Grace Weihmiller scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Weihmiller scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Barone, who scored five points along with three steals.
Jefferson Township pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Hackettstown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Jefferson Township will head out on the road to face off against North Warren Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Warren Regional is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Hackettstown, they will be playing at home against Morris County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morris County Tech presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hackettstown in New Jersey (Morris County Tech is ranked 35th, while Hackettstown is ranked 286th).
