The Eads Eagles managed to keep up with the Idalia Wolves until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Eads was beaten by Idalia 54-24. Eads was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Idalia apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Eads lost, one person who can't be blamed is Stockton Mitchek. Despite the final result, he rushed for 38 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 78 receiving yards.
Tarek Glanz went supernova for Idalia, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 125 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Gabe Kechter, who rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry.
Eads' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Idalia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Eads does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Idalia also has no future games currently scheduled.
