It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Albany Lions had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-10 victory over the Panthers. The win made it a perfect season for Albany.
Adam Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 139 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown. He hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Mart to a paltry 175 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Albany's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out five times before it was all said and done. Lanxton Viertel was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Albany's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Mart, their loss dropped their record down to 15-1.
Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mart also has no future games currently scheduled.
