Basketball Recap: Tyieon Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oak City Prep over Berean Baptist Academy

Oak City Prep was the 73-64 winner over Berean Baptist Academy when they last played one another on November 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Thursday. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Oak City Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyieon Wilson, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 15 points and eight boards. Wilson is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amazin Dixon, who went 7-for-16 en route to 18 points.

Oak City Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Berean Baptist Academy, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Oak City Prep will take on Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berean Baptist Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fayetteville Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 1.
