Last Friday, Fivay was able to grind out a solid victory over Cypress Creek, taking the game 26-19. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Fivay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sean Brown out in front who rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Brown's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. Lincoln Mcmanus was another key passer, throwing for 283 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fivay's defense and their three sacks. Darrell Howell was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
West Port never got on the board in their matchup back in September, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Citrus last Friday. They really took it to the Hurricanes for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-6 victory on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-0.
Fivay now has a winning record of 3-2. As for West Port, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4.
