Baseball Recap: Ogden Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ogden can now relate to. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manti Templars on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Templars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Easton Green was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Ogden's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-17 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Denver Rhodes, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Ogden's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Manti, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-9.

While Ogden had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
