The West York Area Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Susquehannock Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
West York Area fell victim to Eastern York and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Knights. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Maddie McGlynn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, Susquehannock was able to grind out a solid victory over Dover on Monday, taking the game 7-2.
Susquehannock also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Ella Wetzel gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emily Karst, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Callie Shue, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.
Susquehannock has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for West York Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. West York Area has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Susquehannock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
West York Area might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Susquehannock in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
