The Russell Christian Academy Warriors lost against the Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Russell Christian Academy took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tuscaloosa Christian. Russell Christian Academy has not had much luck with Tuscaloosa Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Alec Joiner was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds for Tuscaloosa Christian. The game was Joiner's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Schwartz, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Russell Christian Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Eastwood Christian the next time they take the court. Tuscaloosa Christian will head out to face Eastwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024, while Russell Christian Academy will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
