Sunset is 0-7 against White since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sunset Bison will head out on the road to challenge the White Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. Sunset is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
Sunset lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by Kimball at home and fell 93-29. Sunset has struggled against Kimball recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, White's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 58-39 to South Oak Cliff. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as White came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while South Oak Cliff is ranked 326th).
Sunset has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for White, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5.
Sunset was taken down by White 94-30 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Sunset avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
