Lancaster can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Copperas Cove. The victory was just what Lancaster needed coming off of a 11-0 loss in their prior game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Dorian Pinto and
Andres Castro, who scored.
Lancaster's victory bumped their record up to 2-9-1. As for Copperas Cove, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Lancaster will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Crandall at 7:15 p.m. As for Copperas Cove, they will head out on the road to take on DeSoto at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
