Even though the Legend Titans have not done well against the ThunderRidge Grizzlies recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Legend strolled past ThunderRidge with points to spare, taking the game 56-41. Given Legend's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while ThunderRidge is ranked 33rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Katie Lamb continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maley Wilhelm, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
ThunderRidge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Becca Winton, who scored nine points. Alexis Baker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
ThunderRidge struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Legend pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
Legend's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for ThunderRidge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Legend will be playing at home against Legacy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for ThunderRidge, they will head out on the road to challenge Highlands Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
