There's no place like home for Terry, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bogue Chitto Bobcats on Thursday as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.
Alana Lake made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Makenzie Clark was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Lake, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Terry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bogue Chitto only posted an OBP of .360.
Terry's record now sits at 8-5. As for Bogue Chitto, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terry will welcome Pearl River Central at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bogue Chitto, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookhaven at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
