Football Recap: Farrell Skates Past Fort Leboeuf with Ease

There's no place like home for Farrell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 45-3 win over the Fort LeBoeuf Bison. Given the Steelers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Bison are ranked 265th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Farrell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was AAron Pegues, who threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Pegues has posted since back in September of 2024. Another big playmaker for Farrell was Juelz Johnson, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Farrell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Farrell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Deyontay Gillespie and Dorean Cain.

Farrell's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.4 points over those games. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Farrell will face off against Ursuline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they will take on Corry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bison's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
