4A Region 8 recap November 19, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Region 8 this week, St. Stanislaus beat Greene County 14-13. The win marks 13th in a row for the the Rock-a-Chaws.
St. Stanislaus was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Wildcats. Gabe Fertitta's team came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
The Rock-a-Chaws' Tyler Allen and Brennen Bradley led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Allen has thrown for 3,853 yards this season, while Bradley has 85 catches for 1,571 yards. Terren Crowley from Vancleave leads the league in rushing with 1,374 yards.
St. Stanislaus and Greene County played the closest game in the league this week, with St. Stanislaus eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory. Allen threw for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 67 yards in the win.
