Victor is 8-2 against Hilton since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Victor had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-42 win over Rush-Henrietta. Given Victor's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Rush-Henrietta is ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hilton suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Penfield by a score of 82-80. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Wednesday (63), Hilton still had to take the loss.
Victor's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hilton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Victor strolled past Hilton in their previous matchup on Wednesday by a score of 77-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Victor since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
