Kinnelon has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They blew past Kittatinny Regional 76-39 at home on Tuesday. That 37 point margin sets a new team best for Kinnelon this season.
Meanwhile, West Milford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They strolled past Lakeland Regional with points to spare, taking the game 62-48.
Kinnelon's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for West Milford, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Kinnelon suffered a grim 75-49 defeat to the Highlanders when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Kinnelon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
