This season hasn't been kind to the Tallwood Lions, who are still winless after their 11th game. They were outmatched by Ocean Lakes at home and fell 71-6. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tallwood has scored all season.
Ocean Lakes found their leader in underclassman Samara Williams, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 21 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Allison Ragudo, who scored 14 points.
Tallwood bumped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Ocean Lakes, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tallwood will stay at home for another game and welcome Bayside at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Bayside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tallwood in Virginia (Bayside is ranked 185th, while Tallwood is ranked 395th). As for Ocean Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Landstown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Landstown is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
