Windthorst is 4-0 against Jacksboro since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Windthorst Trojans will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Jacksboro Tigers at 12:00 p.m. Windthorst has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Last Tuesday, Windthorst earned a 59-47 victory over Mineral Wells. Given Windthorst's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Mineral Wells is ranked 521st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Jacksboro waltzed into their match Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Vernon by a score of 40-33.
Windthorst has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Jacksboro, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Windthorst was able to grind out a solid win over Jacksboro in their previous matchup back in November, winning 45-35. Does Windthorst have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jacksboro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
