Wooster hasn't had much luck against Lexington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Generals will face off against the Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. Wooster has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Wooster is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Saturday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-7 to Jackson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Kennedy Russell and Ava Craemer Parker did some serious damage despite the final result: Russell went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Craemer Parker went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Russell has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Emily Boyd was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Lexington made easy work of Colonel Crawford on Friday and carried off a 17-2 victory. Considering the Minutemen have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Makaree Chapman made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Chapman was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Lexington got a massive performance out of Kylie Thornton, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Thornton a new career-high. Camryn McGuire also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Lexington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colonel Crawford only posted a batting average of .056.
The win made it two in a row for Lexington and bumps their season record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Wooster, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Wooster suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Lexington in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
