The Fowlerville Gladiators had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 29-20 victory over Charlotte. For Fowlerville, this counts as revenge for the 42-7 loss Charlotte walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Wyatt Soli threw for 83 yards and a touchdown. Brendan Ray was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Blake Juopperi rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Charlotte still got an impressive performance from Cutler Brandt, who rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown.
Fowlerville's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Charlotte, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 6-3.
Fowlerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Charlotte will head out on the road to face off against Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hastings is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
