The Moundridge Wildcats lost to the Lyons Lions back in December of 2022, but the Moundridge Wildcats didn't allow the Lyons Lions the same satisfaction on Friday. Moundridge claimed a resounding 53-16 victory over Lyons at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-12.
Moundridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cammi Unruh, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hattie Hecox, who scored 12 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Moundridge and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Lyons, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moundridge and Little River will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Little River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 241 points over their last three matches. As for Lyons, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canton-Galva on Tuesday. Canton-Galva presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lyons in Kansas (Canton-Galva is ranked 99th, while Lyons is ranked 219th).
