Having just played yesterday, the Tempe Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Coronado Dons at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Tempe is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
On Monday, Tempe came up short against Combs and fell 60-53.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ja'michael Keeton, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Arthur Murphy was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Coronado beat Vista Grande 48-37 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Coronado.
Tempe bumped their record down to 7-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Coronado, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Tempe came up short against Coronado when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 57-48. Can Tempe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
