Hazelwood West will challenge McCluer North on the road at 12:00 PM on Saturday. Hazelwood West don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
After flying high against Riverview Gardens two weeks ago, Hazelwood West came back down to earth. Hazelwood West fell just short of Northwest by a score of 34-36. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Meanwhile, McCluer North took an ego-bruising defeat against Hazelwood East, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Saturday. Everything went McCluer North's way against Oakville last Saturday as they made off with a 60-27 win.
Hazelwood West simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat McCluer North 48-0. Will Hazelwood West repeat their success, or does McCluer North have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
