Tyler Benedum made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Grove City Christian is 5-1 when Benedum posts two or more runs, but 4-6-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, Jadunn Harris was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Grove City Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7-1 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jeff Collins, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Miller hit Millersport with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers came up short against the Falcons, falling 10-1. The Lakers have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Millersport saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Everitt, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Grove City Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Millersport, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
