Baseball Recap: Cache Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cache, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Bridge Creek Bobcats on Tuesday by a score of 6-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Bobcats last Monday, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Canden Hance and Deshaun Harvey did most of the damage at the plate: Hance scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Harvey went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Hance a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Montgomery, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cache's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Bridge Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Cache will head out to square off against Heritage Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridge Creek, they will challenge Eisenhower at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
