Prairie View proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Brighton Bulldogs 10-9. The victory was nothing new for the Thunderhawks as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Jerry Stone was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Giovanni Tarin was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Prairie View pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Brighton, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-5.
