The Williamsport Wildcats will be playing at home against the Walkersville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
A well-balanced attack led Williamsport over the Cougars in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Williamsport was the clear victor by a 77-51 margin over the Cougars. The victory was just what Williamsport needed coming off of a 80-53 loss in their prior match.
Ceonta Wilmore was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Corry Nelson Jr, who scored 12 points along with eight steals.
Meanwhile, Walkersville entered their tilt with the Railroaders with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Walkersville secured a 45-39 W over the Railroaders on Tuesday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Walkersville has scored all year.
Williamsport's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Walkersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Williamsport, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-53 loss to the Lions when the teams last played back in January.
