Despite the defeat, Lookeba-Sickles saw an underclassman step up: Nathan Morris dropped a double-double on 23 points and 22 rebounds. The matchup was Morris' fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Cordell's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Lookeba-Sickles, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cordell and Carnegie will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Carnegie presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cordell in Oklahoma (Carnegie is ranked 135th, while Cordell is ranked 428th). Lookeba-Sickles and Thomas-Fay-Custer will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
