The Dexter Tigers lost against the Foxcroft Academy Ponies back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Dexter took a serious blow against Foxcroft Academy, falling 62-35. Dexter has not had much luck with Foxcroft Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Dexter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Doherty, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Zak Adams was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
Dexter has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Foxcroft Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will square off against Mattanawcook at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Foxcroft Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
