When it comes to explaining why Valley Falls lost, one person who can't be blamed is Korie Kirkwood. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Kirkwood's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Lauren Brown was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Valley Falls are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for Jefferson County North, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Valley Falls will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson County North, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Atchison County.
