Twin Valley (8 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
Hanover was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Twin Valley (8 Man). The Wildcats vanquished Cair Paravel 46-12 earlier in the week.
B & B extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Independence HomeSchool, 51-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Axtell's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Schmelzle threw for 52 and one touchdown and Derek Porting had 19 yards receiving. On the ground Schmelzle chipped in 85 yards. Dylan Heiman helped Axtell's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.
B & B's Dustin Rottinghaus and Cameron Haug have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Rottinghaus has thrown for 450 yards this season, while Haug, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 11 catches for 141 yards. Lucas Adams from Frankfort leads the league in rushing with 488 yards.
A big matchup in Twin Valley (8 Man) this week will be when Blue Valley takes on the Wildcats. As it stands, the Rams are in fifth, while Frankfort is in first.
Justin Coup's team took down Independence HomeSchool 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
